Kevin Hogge was raised in the Salt Lake valley in Utah. He spent summers camping and fishing in the mountains and traveling to national parks which developed his love for nature. His father was an automobile mechanic and started taking Kevin to work with him at around age six. He worked with his father until he graduated from high school. As a result he became interested in the mechanical processes of things. From an early age Kevin spent long hours drawing and painting from both observation and imagination. His family has always been supportive of his interest in art.
Kevin received an Associates Degree from Ricks College in Rexburg, ID. He spent the next fifteen years working as a graphic designer and commercial printer in his own business. During that time he continued to study and create art. Kevin has sold in galleries and participated in shows and juried shows since 2006. He finished his BFA at the University of Utah in 2007. Kevin is studying painting and drawing at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA and will complete his MFA in August 2017.
